JUNIPER PUBLISHERS-OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL OF DENTISTRY & ORAL HEALTH Bacterial Adhesion on Zirconia, Lithium Desilicated and Gold Crowns- In Vivo Study Authored by Abbas I Hussein Abstract Zirconia crowns have recently been used as an alternative to the common gold crowns and as a competitive to lithium disilicate crowns as well. JUNIPER PUBLISHERS- OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL OF DENTISTRY & ORAL HEALTH Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma: A Case Report Authored by K. Padmaja Abstract Peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a relatively uncommon, gingival overgrowth, which comprises of fibroblastic tissue that contains one or more mineralized tissues. It is considered reactive rather than neoplastic, with difficulty in diagnosing from other gingival overgrowths owing to its similar clinical presentation. Considerable confusion has prevailed in the nomenclature of POF due to its variable histopathological features. Occurrence of POF in mandible is uncommon when compared with maxilla. This report presents a clinical case of 11 year old boy with a gingival overgrowth along the mandibular posterior region, which was diagnosed as peripheral ossifying fibroma. JUNIPER PUBLISHERS-OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL OF DENTISTRY & ORAL HEALTH PGE 2  and 6-Keto-PGF 1α  Generation and Cyclic AMP in the Atria of Rats during Normoxia and Hypoxia Authored by Enri Borda Abstract Circulating antibodies can be detected in chronic periodontitis patients given the presence of serum auto antibodies against β 1 -adrenoceptor (β 1 -AR) in periodontitis patients by using cardiac membranes or a synthetic β 1 -AR peptide corresponding to the second extracellular loop of human β 1 -AR as antigens. Periodontitis patients also exhibit enhanced atria contractility in normoxia and tonic contraction in hypoxia. Atenolol, synthetic β 1  peptide and nifedipine abrogate the action of both Isoproterenol and β 1  IgG on atria contractility in both experimental conditions. In turn, β 1  IgG display a partial agonist-like activity and modifies the contractility of isolated atria, accompanied by an accumulation of cyclic AMP nucleotide in norm...
